Pick your own STRAWBERRIES! Yes, the Pick Your Own Strawberry Patch is open. It is wet, from the rain yesterday, but we have plenty of Grass in the row middles where you walk, so it isn’t muddy.
We are open 9am-5pm Mondays-Fridays. Saturdays 8am-5pm. Closed on Sundays.
Strawberries are $3.75/lb for pick your own. Containers are available at the Market. Pre-Picked Strawberries will be available in the Market @ $6.50/quart.
A few things to remember: Please Keep your children with you at all times. Our farm and the road is very busy. CHECK IN AND OUT AT THE MARKET.
You will also need to grab your containers to pick in from the Market. Our normal Strawberry Hut is at the end of the Porch. We will be moving our smaller red hut to the field sometime this week.
The Strawberry patch is located across the road from our Market near the Greenhouses and the big water tanks. Strawberry season is just beginning, but NOW is the best time to pick.
A few details about the patch. The first 10 rows near the greenhouses are planted on white plastic. There are a few ripe berries there, but not many. The next 5 rows are planted on black plastic. These are our EARLY STRAWBERRIES and they are plentiful. The Rest of the Strawberry rows on Black Plastic are beginning to Ripen as well. REMEMBER TO ONLY PICK THE FULLY RED STRAWBERRIES. THEY ARE THE ONES WITH THE BEST FLAVOR.
