Lots of questions on how we roast our Turkey: We have one of those giant roasting ovens that you see in the picture. Other options are a roasting pan with a lid in the oven, or a roasting bag.
Line the edges of the roaster or roasting pan with aluminum foil. Toss in the following, all course chopped:
A whole head of Celery
6 onions
6 carrots
Add 2 cups of water.
Place Turkey on Top of Veggies, Legs down.
Rub your Turkey generously with 1 stick of melted butter.
Sprinkle Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder, and Garlic Powder over the top.
Roast at 350 degrees for 1hr. Turn heat back to 200 degrees and Roast for 12 more hours.
Remember to save all the bones and other goodies for making soup stock.
