#Tomato #Peppers #Eggplant — It’s time to start seeding tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant at the Farm. The seeds are started in 512 trays (512 holes in a tray) on heat mats in the Greenhouse. The 512 trays allow us to start a lot of seeds in a small amount of space. The heat mats are set at 80 degrees and allows us to keep the Greenhouse heat set to 60 degrees. In about a week to 10 days the tomatoes will be ready to transplant into 50 count trays where they will stay for 5 more weeks until we are ready to plant in the High Tunnels. The High Tunnels allow us to plant in the middle of March so you can have tomatoes sooner. The peppers and eggplants take about 10-14 days until they are ready to transplant into the 50 count trays. All of our seeds are #NonGMOseeds. We are planting Beefsteak tomatoes, Sweet Italian Peppers, and Italian style Eggplant.
