#sweetcornwatch 2017 continues! The sweet corn we planted on March 25 has germinated and some of it has poked through the soil. Yesterday 4 patches of different maturities were planted. We are trying to go from 66 day sweet corn to 78 day sweet corn. We are on 74 now. This Saturday or Monday, we will go to 76 day corn and by the first week of May we should be on 78 day corn. 78 day corn is sweet corn that can take the summer heat.
