Strawberry update: Strawberries are more plentiful in the Market this week and are available in quarts. We have 2 early varieties that we are picking from. The Sweet Charlies started last week, and the Albions came in yesterday. Ruby June is another early variety, hopefully it will be coming ripe by the end of this week. Right now we only have pre-picked strawberries available on a first come, first served basis. We are picking all the berries that are ripe each day in the field. If you want strawberries, come early in the day. The early shopper gets the berries. We plan to have berries in the Market by 9:00 a.m. each day. We are not reserving Strawberries or picking for orders yet. Our main season Chandlers, (the bulk of our crop), are taking their sweet time. Usually they come in about 1 week to 10 days after we start picking the Sweet Charlies, but this year it looks like it will take a little longer. The patch is loaded with flowers and green berries. We aren’t sure when the pick your own will open, but we will post regular updates here and on our website. Looking forward to a great season!
