Good thing we covered the early Strawberry Plants Saturday evening. Woke up to a “nice” frost this morning. The first 6 rows are our earlier varieties and have a good bit of blooms. There is frost damage on that bloom in the photo. A strawberry will not develop there. This bloom was damaged a couple weeks ago while we had the whole patch uncovered. We always get a few really early blooms and it’s impractical to cover the whole patch for those. Frost watch is on now for the early berries and soon we will have to watch for the whole patch.
