PICK YOUR OWN STRAWBERRIES! Strawberry UPDATE for TODAY, SATURDAY, MAY 27th:
YES, the STRAWBERRY PATCH IS OPEN for picking TODAY, SATURDAY MAY 27th. The KEY for picking TODAY, Saturday May 27 is to come early! The Market opens at 8am, but you can come pick earlier if you want to. You just can’t check out until a touch after 8am. We will have some pre-picked STRAWBERRIES Saturday morning, just not sure how long they will last.
It was a busy day at the farm and in the patch, yesterday, Friday May 26th. A lot of STRAWBERRIES were picked yesterday, BUT there will STILL be GOOD picking THIS morning, Saturday May 27th. The longer the day goes on, the picking will get more scattered. The Strawberries have excellent flavor and are in great shape for picking.
We will probably be getting close to picked out by noon TODAY, so let THIS morning be your goal to be IN the STRAWBERRY PATCH!
PLEASE read to the end so you have all of the information. We are making decisions daily on picking conditions and whether or not we will have pre-picked. We want you to have the BEST picking experience possible and to pick the BEST Strawberries possible, so we are making these decisions daily.
The 10 rows of white plastic closest to the Greenhouses have the most berries and are the best rows to pick.
Come pick THIS morning, Saturday May 27th.
Remember we are closed on Sundays. Not sure about the patch conditions for Monday yet. We will know more Saturday evening.
Memorial Day weekend is THIS weekend. We typically get picked out each year on Memorial Day weekend. The volume of Strawberries cannot keep up with the volume of pickers. If you have the opportunity, come pick Saturday morning.
Picking conditions will become slim as the day goes on, on Saturday.
Memorial Day, Monday May 29th, the Market will be open 9am-1pm. We will be closing at 1pm. Not sure about whether or not the STRAWBERRY PATCH will be open YET.
The Strawberry Patch is located across the road from the Market. Just past the big water tanks and Greenhouses. Containers are located in the Red Hut at the Field or at the Market. Check out is at the Market. Pre-Picked Strawberries when available @ $5/pint. Free Parking. Park at the Patch convenience. Free Admission. Free Fresh Air.
