IMPORTANT SWEET CORN UPDATE: READ AND SHARE SO THAT YOU KNOW THE CORN DETAILS. NO SWEET CORN for about 10 days or so. We are hoping to pick again on Aug 29. We will keep you updated. There’s PLENTY MORE to pick once we start picking again. WHAT HAPPENED? The million dollar question…..the sweet corn that we should be picking now and for the next 10 days was planted in the middle of June in the middle of that drought. It was so dry that we couldn’t get enough water to it to get the corn seed to germinate and come out of the ground. We literally planted in the dust. So, these couple patches of SWEET CORN seed sat in the ground and waited until it rained. The good news is, once we start picking we should have PLENTY until the 3rd week of October. AND the next corn we pick will be KATE!
